OSCARS 2015

YAAAAAASSSS!!!! The Oscars 2015 came and went. And so many deserving winners especially for Best Actor and Actress with Eddie Redmayne and Julianna Moore who are both fashion darlings. WOOHOO!!!!

Anyways, here you go. I was counting on Marion to slay but she didn't. And an unlikely heroine stole the show. My best dressed is...

ROSAMUND PIKE IN GIVENCHY COUTURE
Rosamund Pike in Givenchy Couture - Let's face it, girl was a mess during awards season but quickly redeeemed herself and rightly so at Oscar night. To be honest, I was quite disappointed with this red carpet. This is the best dressed. Not really a revolutionary one, don't you think?
Jessica Chastain in Givenchy Couture - My 2nd best dressed wore Givenchy couture as well. And yes, I see Vivienne Westwood. But who cares? Gurl looked fierce! Mwah!
Julianne Moore in Chanel Couture - Nothing like collecting your Oscar in Chanel. No biggie. Also, the phrase "Karl designed this for me" will live in Oscar history and the fact it took something like 972 hours to finish this dress. J'adore! Yes despite the unflattering silhouette. Because it feels classic. People from 3015 will be ooh-ing for this photo!
Marion Cotillard in Dior Couture - I'm lukewarm about this. Well, the back is interesting but still. Marion can do better. I wish they fitted that dress like her Gaultier when she won her Oscar. That would've changed it.
Sienna Miller in Oscar de la Renta - This is part of Peter Copping's first collection for de la Renta AND IT'S GORGEOUS! I love it even with the sheer part. It's a great fit and Sienna did good in the hair and makeup department.
Emma Stone in Elie Saab Couture - Now, while I was browsing photos from the red carpet, I was like "Where's Emma?" And there she is. She looked great. My problem is the color and the slit. A little lighter or even darker shade would've been better and she actually flashed her nude panties when she lifted her skirt. Still, girl looked good.

Lady Gaga in Alaia - You can't be shocked she wore those gloves. Bitch needs to make it cooky! But she did slay her performances in that Sound of Music bit. She's a popstar who's classically trained. Honestly, she's better than Beyonce as GaGa can hold a lot of notes while Beyonce can do high pitch ones. Great classical singers are trained to hold low and high tones and she is one of them. You go gurl! Hoping for a flavor of this (a flavore) on your next album.

Scarlett Johansson in Atelier Verscace - Looking good, feeling gorgeous.... then this happened.
After last year's Adele Dazeem, seems like John isn't done. The explanation for this photo is that John thought Scarlett was a gay man. You know, because John Travolta is gay. I SWEAR!
Anna Wintour and Bee Shaffer - Don't know who they're wearing but they looked good. At first glance I thought Anna's necklace was an ID pass. Like they don't know Anna.
Here she is seated next to Harvey Weinstein wearing sunglasses because of course she does!

Anna Kendrick in Thakoon - Love the coral color and that neckline, J'ADORE!!
Karolina Kurkova in Marchesa - I'm honestly distracted by those creases.
Tim McGraw without his hat.... Mmmmmm... Lick!

Dakota Johnson in Saint Laurent - A for effort. Goregous color on her skin.
Hannah Bagshawe and Eddie Redmaybe both in Alexander McQueen - congrats Eddie! You deserve it! And girl looks good.
Naomi Watts in Armani - Hmmm... This is surely a risk and it paid off. Love this dress!
Chloe Moretz in Miu Miu - I don't know about this one. Girl, you have access to a lot of fashion houses. Get into it.
Behati Prinsloo in Armani Prive - I am not loving that necklace. Adam looks handsome, though.

Zendaya in Vivienne Westwood- Hate the hair. That's all.
Felicity Jones in Alexander McQueen - Mmmmm, me likes! Love this!
Patricia Arquette in Rosetta Getty - Congrats on your win gurl. That's all.

Cate Blanchett in Maison Margiela - YAAAASSSS!!! This is a Galliano creation and I love those torn details in the sleeves. And that Tiffany necklace, I want!
Rita Ora in Marchesa - Girl you look good. Continue this.
Lupita Nyong'O in Calvin Klein - Meh! Je deteste! Yup didn't like this.

Ansel Elgort in Prada - Bitch stole Eddie's look. But he looked handsome nonetheless.
Crissy Teigen in Zuhair Murad - Of course she is. Love her husband's acceptance speech.

Zoe Saldana in Versace - Girl gave birth to twins and now this eleganza.... Enough said.
Reese Witherspoon in Tom Ford- Me likey! Love the color!
Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji - Match made in heaven, he knows her body so well and this looks good on her/
Jennifer Lopez in Elie Saab Couture - The twins are out!
Solange Knowles in Christian Siriano - Gurl is wearing pants. But me not likey.
Kerry Washington in Miu Miu - I am liking this for some strange reason. Oh well.
Nicole Kidman in Louis Vuitton - Nicholas Ghesquiere and Nicole Kidman have made an Oscar moment back in 2006 with that red Balenciaga gown. This is just ok. Love the torn details at the bottom of the dress.
Keira Knightley in Valentino Couture - So romantic, J'ADORE!
Jennifer Aniston in Versace - She looked good. And they look good as a couple. I'm happy for them.

Jennifer Hudson in Romona Keveza - Slow clap! Love the color on her.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Ralph & Russo Couture - Had she worn the runway version, she would've been my best dressed. She can carry it.
Meryl Streep in Lanvin - I have nothing but love for this look even with that blazer. You go gurl!

BAFTA 2015

So, the BAFTAs came at the same date as the Grammys. Not a good idea. LOLz. Anyways, it was subdued but the best of the best gowns were on point.

See the gowns here. Not a lot actually. So, here it goes.

Lea Seydoux in Prada- Clearly the best dressed. Prada has always been hit or miss on the red carpet but when Lea is being dressed in Prada, it's always the best. Miuccia must really love her so much because THIS IS AMAZING!!!!! The color, the cutouts, the fabric, the Lea, the Seydoux, PERFECT!!!
Felicity Jones in Dior Couture - Now I'm partial to this dress because when I saw this on the Spring 2013 couture runway, I was like "I Want Marion to wear this." To my disappointment, she didn't. See how it looks like, Marion? IT'S FIERCE! But she was my best dressed at the BAFTAs with that yellow Dior couture number.
Diana Agron in Lanvin - I wanted to love this had it not been by the fact that this was just a change of fabric from Kim K's 2014 MET Gala look.
Natalie Dormer in Sophie Kah - Great dress but girl, we all know Madonna's the only one that can rock gloves on the red carpet.
Amy Adams in Lanvin - Ethereal chic. Love the belt!
Keira Knightley in Giambattista Valli Couture - I am baffled by the fact that Keira is not slaying the maternity look game. I thought she would've killed it. I guess Blake put on such high standards.
Rosamund Pike in Roland Mouret - Huge fit issues. And so bland.
Reese Witherspoon in Stella McCartney - Love the color. Hate the boob part.
Julianne Moore in Tom Ford - MOTHER HAS ARRIVED! Love this! Although to be honest, I am quite underwhelmed by Julianne's red carpet choices. You're the clear winner, get into it and slay, honey!
Eddie Redmayne and Hannah Bagshawe in Valentino - Is it me or is that dress one size too big. Or is she pregnant? Eddie looks dapper as always.
Douglas Booth in Dunhill - ah the velvet blazer. Let's face it, even if he's not wearing clothes (especially when he's not wearing clothes) Douglas is a panty creamer!
