PHILIPPINE FASHION WEEK

This has been long overdue no?
Anyways. here it is.

I WENT TO PHILIPPINE FASHION WEEK LAST MAY 26, 2012.
I visited 2 shows
1. Grand Allure Collection
2. Chris Jasler - Veejay Floresca show

Like a typical fashion week, in one seating you get to see more than one designer's collection.
Anyway, what I noticed
IT WAS UNGLAMOROUS. What a front. When I went there I didn't know that you have to fall in line, and with first come first serve basis, IT WAS UP ALL OVER AGAIN. So there I was in my outfit, falling in line. Good thing for my iPod and my notebook (from Starbuck's ;) ) I pre-occupied myself with music and writing.

Here were my notes:
- We look like hot messes.
- Apparently, I'm still dressed down.
- Lots of sheer maxi-skirts (so last, last, last season)
- Girls wear heels so high they just drag the shoes (tiis ganda!)
- A lot of people are cutting in line, uncivilized much?
- A lot of fashion dont's*

* I WANTED TO TELL THEM THAT LADY GAGA'S CONCERT WAS OVER. HAHAHAHAHAHA! THAT'S HOW FASHION DON'T THEY WERE BUT TO HELL WITH IT, IT'S "FASHION WEEK" GO!

So the first show I went to was by:

Philipp Tampus
Veejay Floresca

They presented a 35-piece collection each.

REVIEW:

BAZAAR-BAZAARAN

Bazaar-bazaaran means "faux bazaar" or "pretend bazaar" and that's what I felt last Saturday.
I went to two bazaars. First, was the "Great Luxe Sale." Just by the name, I was enticed. Wow! Luxe! TARAAAYYY! And the admission was free! WOW! LOVES IT!

I DID NOT EVEN TOOK PICTURES BECAUSE OF MY UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT.
FOR A BAZAAR NAMED "LUXE" I CERTAINLY DO NOT EXPECT BIG SPACES FOR PENSHOPPE, PLAINS AND PRINTS, OXYGEN, MEMO, FORME ETC. I DON'T CONSIDER THEM "LUXE" NOR DO I FEEL LUXURIOUS WEARING THEM OK?

SO THAT'S WHY IT WAS FOR FREE?

The next one was at World Trade Centre. One jeepney away from SMX so fine.

The admission fee was Php 50 and they give you this ticket "Admit One" which is like one of those school fair tickets. Right then and there I should've suspected...
Anyway, it was the Megabrands sale and look at the poster!

WOW! A LOT OF BRANDS! THAT'S WHY IT'S MEGABRANDS. But usually, when people put up the brands there, it means they have a space to sell their products. AND WOW! I DID NOT SEE ANY OF THEM. They were just perfume, and I doubt they're authentic. And, you see they said "THERE'S EYEWEAR." All they had? Those Hello Kitty frames that bugs me to death as to why people want to have them and Rudy Eyewear. I want to tell them, "THAT IS NOT WORTH PUTTING THERE."

THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO CHARGE ME PHP 50 WHEN THEY CANNOT DELIVER THEIR PROMISE? HOW DARE THEY? I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE LEGAL WAYS OF RIPPING PEOPLE OFF.

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN FOOLED BY BAZAAR POSTERS? TELL ME ABOUT IT . GOSH THEY'RE IRRITATIONG AREN'T THEY? >:(

If you're going to look at my Blogger account, it has a lot of "drafts" all with fashion topics and I can't quite seem to finish them. It's like I need inspiration or something or I'm just sooo bored to tears. Anyway, I'm trying to blog with sunglasses on (yes I'm that desperate to recover) but I seem to be checking out ebay and otticanet for sunglasses so that I'll be able to buy them. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is I'll update this but not as daily until I get my zing back. I swear I'm trying my best. Anyways, thank you for all the emails. I really appreciate it. I thought this blog was just something I would share to random people but now it seems that I have readers. Readers that check my site to update themselves on me or just check out my random opinions on things...

ANYWAY I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY!
HURRAY! SOPHIE WON ANTM 18 HAHAHAHA!

She's my bet to win and finally! All my bets seem to be 2nd placers only but Sophie broke that streak. I think Laura lost for 2 reasons:
1. Kelly Cutrone's vote is for Sophie
2. Laura seems to always have "JABAR" or you know, sweat on the underarms. Watch ANTM and for every segment with Laura, she always has JABAR and to think she wears a gray shirt? OMG! :))))

GRADUATION BALL

Now I am officially part of the unemployed population of the Philippines! Anyone wants to give me a job? haha! Anyways, this was the last day that we were together as batch! The Graduation Ball! The theme was Setting Sail: Caribbean Cruise Night and everyone was encouraged to wear something with the theme. And I didn't! hahaha! Well, I was on my own world and since this was the last time I might go all FASHION with my outfits, I pulled out all the stops. Not really! Hahaha!

I really love the short suits trend! I am so obsessed with it that I've been wanting to wear it to an event and well, this seems a perfect opportunity.

The inspiration: Diane Kruger in Jason Wu; Victoria Justice in Elizabeth and James; Gwyneth Paltrow in Giorgio Armani. I wanted to emulate Diane Kruger's so here it is:
