Marc Jacobs Red Dot Sunglasses

Ugh! The agony of pooricity and the living in the Philippines!

I love me some Marc Jacobs! I adore his Spring 2013 collection. I think people would either love it or hate it. And I loved it! Stripes is becoming the trend for spring as Michael Kors and Dolce and Gabbana followed suit. But there's something about Marc's collection that tells something about him as a designer. He is a very focused designer creating such a cohesive, wearable, and downright sellable collection based from a very common trend... STRIPES! I guess that I love stripes campaign he has for Marc by Marc Jacobs featuring striped sunnies really got into him! Haha!

Anyway, Marc created a new fragrance named "Dot." Haven't smelled it yet but I've smelled "Lola" and "Bang" so I'm sure it's gonna be a great and unique scent. And with that, he created limited edition sunglasses. The "Red Dot" sunglasses.

It's quite a different shape right? And that flower on the temple? Instant showstopper. If you can't work this oversized butterfly shape. Here's a less severe shape:
The trademark is the flower temples! :)

Buy the Red Dot sunglasses here. And the less severe sunglasses here.

Milan Fashion Week in sunglasses!

Everyone was shocked when I didn't post anything about the Emmy's. I'm sorry you guys, been very busy. But I swear, next time. Don't fret! There are a lot of other award shows I will cover! Haha! I'm sure you're having a yellow fever from the Emmy's Red Carpet.

My best dressed was Emilia Clarke in Chanel Resort 2013, close second was January Jones in Zac Posen, and rounding them up was Tina Fey in Vivienne Westwood.

Worthy mentions are Juliane Moore in Dior Couture, Leslie Mann in Naeem Khan, and Zooey Deschanel in Reem Acra.

Now, MFW has come and go and have a look on what sunnies they had to offer! :)
VERSACE! The collection is very Bohemian! Yes! Bohemian. A big departure from that sexy Versace silhouette. Love this cat eyes with the thick temples! A great shape offering high protection from those stray UV rays! ;)
Emilio Pucci! I don't get this sunnies and that's why I love them! A statement piece! Best worn with your Emilio Pucci  swimsuit (it's a must have okay? the swimsuit not the sunglasses, wear at your own risk!)
FENDI! There's always a weird pair of sunnies at every Fendi show and this is no exception. I like it of course! The shape is quite contorted and the nose part is too wide but I'm sure my big nose will fit into it! Haha!
ROBERTO CAVALLI! PAK! Bug eye? Check? Gold mirrored? Check! Decadent details? Check! Will I buy it? YES! I wish it would be released in the Philippines. It's my weakness! Haha! Love Roberto Cavalli sunglasses! They're like jewelry! Must have! :)

Fashion Shower by Anna Dello Russo Lyrics

Since I could not find it on the internet, I decided to transcribe it myself. Feel free to comment for corrections. Thank you! I guess we all need a fashion shower every now and then. Haha!

Fashion is my alphabet
I'm the guardian
I'm the guardian of fashion
You need a fashion shower

You need a (fashion shower) (3x)

Lesson no. 1:
Fashion is a declaration of your own freedom

Lesson no. 2:
Between style and fashion, absolutely fashion

Lesson no. 3:
Fashion is always uncomfortable. If you feel comfortable, you'll never get the look

Lesson no. 4:
Fabulous at every age

Lesonn No. 5:
Wearing night clothes in the daytime is unexpected

Take your muse to dance
Fashion love music

You know what you need?
You need a fashion shower.
You know what you need?
You need a fashion shower.

You need a (fashion shower) (3x)

Lesson No. 6:
Somebody wearing your same outfit?
Wonderful! You did the right choice.

Lesson No. 7:
You must wear outfit once.

Lesson No. 8:
Wear coat as a dress.

Lesson No. 9:
It doesn't matter the size of your body,
Fashion flatters every figure.

Lesson No. 10:
Fashion jewels personalize your style.
(Color me, makeup me, accessorize me)
Gold accentures excess
Nothing sexy like excess.

You need a (fashion shower) (3x)
Why? Because I love it.

You need a (fashion shower) (3x)
Why? Because I love it.
Chou.

And sing-along with it:

Barbara's : Restaurant Review

Yes! You read that right! A restaurant review! Haha! No, I'm not gonna be all foodie in you. I don't know how to describe a food's taste. Haha. All I can describe are clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, and other accessories. Haha.

Anyway, we went to this restaurant in Intramuros named Barbara's. It is just across the San Agustin Church.
Basically, it's a buffet with a show performance. It reminded me of my college days because we had a business plan wherein we proposed the same restaurant. Only, it's based on "Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo." We were required a theme, which was the feel of our Dapitan fieldtrip. Since Jose Rizal was in exile, that's what we thought, Rizal's novels. Anyways, basically the buffet only had 4 courses. Fish fillet, Beef, Roasted Chicken, and Pancit. That was it. The dessert were coffee jelly, sponge cake, jelly with fruit, and the best bananacue ever. Haha. The bananacues were covered in sesame seeds and even had sesame inside (I think). Also the coffee jelly was delish, not too sweet which is always good. I have a sweet tooth but too much sweetness will leave you with a weird feeling of an aftertaste.

Anyways, we did not go for a second round on the buffet. Which is weird. I always go for a second round on buffets. Maybe there were two factors: the number of courses, and maybe they put something in the food to make you full. Haha.

For the performance, apparently the performers were scholars from some school that I did not catch because I was too busy playing with my cousin. Haha. They performed Filipino traditional dances. My only problem was the stage wasn't elevated. Traditional Filipino dances were all about the hand and the foot and unfortunately, we could not see the foot action. Especially on the tinikling. I did love, however, their interaction period wherein they would invite the audience to try and dance the tinikling. The people who tried it surely had fun.

The restaurant was made as one of the movements towards loving our own culture. As a UP student, I have seen and learned a lot about our culture that I came to appreciate it. While mainstream media does not allow you to do so, it's great that there are small movements like this happening. I'm sure when you come to visit this restaurant, you might gain a little more appreciation about the Filipino culture. A culture about smiles, having fun, and cooperation.

We paid for our dinner at a discounted rate through my aunt. She found like a bundle deal on the Internet. But I think, the rate is Php 545 per head. But if you look around the net, you might get them up to 50% off! What a bargain! ;)

PICS! (from my BlackBerry. Sorry! Haha!)

Sunnies lusting!

Well! I'm sure you all know it's...NEW YORK FASHION WEEK! So far, I'm loving what I'm seeing. Can't wait for the London, Milan, and Paris!
As you all know, the Anna dello Russo for H&M collection will be in stores Oct. 4th (Oh please gift me one sunglasses from that collection). Well, the pricelist and lookbook has been uploaded and here are the pictures of the three things I want:
This one is only $34.95! :)

These two are both $49.95! Affordable! But people are kinda turned off because they're not H&M prices. I guess the fact that they had Anna designed it might have something to do with the heavy price tag. But look at them! With those prices, THEY'RE A BARGAIN! ;)

ANYWAYS, SPRING 2013 HAS SPRUNG! YES! You can pre-order Spring 2013 looks! Here are some sunnies that I looooove from the Spring 2013 Runways.

DVF updated the "Super Lucia Sunglasses (Google them! ;) ) and made them bigger and with those bridges. :)
Prabal Gurung updated the aviators into something super futuristic! I like! :)
With this, I'm not sure. They are Rag & Bone in collaboration with Oakley. And that's the thing, OAKLEY! I think I might like it but I've seen too much of this that I don't see anything revolutionary. :)

Well, there are still a lot of designers to present and a lot of sunnies to lust on!
AT LEAST GIVE ME THE ANNA DELLO RUSSO ONES! PLEASE??? WITH CHERRY ON TOP! :)
